Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County received $109,000 in furniture, home goods and building materials from the Valencia Grand sales office, a GL Homes community in Boynton Beach.

The GL Homes and Habitat PBC teams filled a 16 foot truck with kitchen cabinets, sinks, decor and top-of-the-line HVAC units.

These must-have items in excellent condition will be sold at Habitat ReStores in Palm Beach County to help fund affordable housing and support families throughout the local community.

Habitat ReStores are home improvement thrift stores specializing in home goods, building materials, and furniture. The general public can purchase these items for a fraction of the retail price. ReStore proceeds are used to support Habitat programs and future homebuilding.

Habitat for Humanity works in more than 70 countries and has helped more than 59 million people improve their living conditions since 1976.

Habitat works together with families, local communities, volunteers and partners from around the world so that more people can live in affordable and safe homes. The goal of Habitat’s advocacy efforts is to eradicate systemic obstacles that prevent low-income and historically underserved families from accessing adequate and affordable shelter.
